Les Porquerolles

L'isola di Porquerolles è la più grande delle îles d’Or, l'arcipelago delle isole d'Hyères, ed è il punto più meridionale della costa provenzale.

La costa a nord è costituita per lo più da spiagge sabbiose circondate da pini e mirti profumati, mentre a sud si trovano scogliere scoscese a picco sul mare.

La sua superficie è percorsa da strade e sentieri percorribili a piedi o in bicicletta circondati da una vegetazione lussureggiante

Il villaggio che ha dato il nome all'isola è sorto nei  pimi anni dell'800, il faro è del 1837 e la chiesa del 1850.

Sull'isola si trovano il forte Sainte-Agathe (XVI sec), il faro d Cap d'Arme e il mulino (XVIII sec), restaurato nel 2007.
